Street Harassed in Columbia Heights: “I Was So Shaken That I Immediately Grabbed A Cab.”

Jul 8, 2014 | Posted by User Submission |

Location: 14th & Parkwood NW (Columbia Heights)
Time:
 Night (7:30pm-12am)

I was walking toward the bus stop from my house, about a 3 block journey, when I noticed a man walking toward me. I tried to ignore him, keep my head up and look straight ahead. When he was about a foot away from me he said, “Hey sweetie, can I pay you for a good time?” He seemed drunk. I loudly responded “No” and was so shaken that I hopped in a cab instead of waiting the extra 5 minutes for a bus.
