Sexually assaulted while on run through Capital Crescent Trail

Nov 29, 2012 | Posted by User Submission |

Location:  Capital Crescent Trail
Time: Daytime (9:30am-3:30pm)

Years ago, when I was 15 years old and in high school, I was running on the Capital Crescent Trail between DC and MD. It was during the day on a weekday, and although it was the summertime, the trail was less populated during the early afternoon. I stopped to walk for a bit. A biker came up from behind me, without me hearing him. He slowed down, grabbed my bottom and reached his fingers up my shorts and into my underwear. I froze up and he pedaled away, leaving me stopped in my tracks. Not knowing what to do, I just turned and ran home, crying. Never reported it because I was too embarrassed.
