Stalked in a Library

I was walking around the library, and I noticed this guy about twice my age (35-ish, maybe?) seemed to be following me. I initially dismissed it as my being paranoid, but I told myself if he was there when I went to the next row of shelves, he was following me. And he was there. By this point I was shaking. (This was in the non-fiction section, which is kinda near the back of the library, but still enough in public I’d expected to be safe from this kind of thing). I wasn’t sure what to do, and then the guy comes up to me and says something. I was too scared to make out what he had mumbled so I told him if he needed to find books he should go ask at the information desk. He quit following me more or less, but didn’t leave. I then went and reported it to a librarian and left, feeling extremely shaken. It’s scary to think what might have happened had I not been in this public library.
