Bottom Feeders In Union Station

I was not having a good night. I hadn’t left work until after 8:30, so I was exhausted and just wanted to get home. Then two blocks from Union Station, my bicycle shut down. I was barely able to roll it the last two blocks to get into Union Station.

I’m a Southerner and an extravert- I make eye contact, greet people, and speak when spoken to. So when this man inside Union station made eye contact at some distance, nodded and asked how I was doing, I said, “It’s not a good night.”

His response, from 5-10 yards away, was “Have sex with me.” He lost his speaking privileges and got a look of disgust.

He caught me off guard and in the midst of addressing a major transportation issue. Since, my head has been filled with I-shoulda-saids.

This kind of outrageous bottom feeding, and by that I mean trying to feed on me while I was at a bottom, is so despicable. Perhaps my look conveyed a tiny bit of that message.
