“I couldn’t make myself move.”

Home Buses “I couldn’t make myself move.”

“I couldn’t make myself move.”

May 12, 2010 | Posted by User Submission |

I was sitting on the bus toward the front. A guy got on and we locked eyes. For whatever reason, he decided to intimidate me by sitting next to me. He leered at me and made sure our thighs were touching. So many things were running through my head, but I just sat there frozen. I wanted to move across the aisle and stare at him pointedly, but I couldn’t make myself move. To make matters worse, we were in downtown Silver Spring where I had been sexually assaulted a couple weeks earlier, so I was feeling very scared already. It was a relief when my stop came and I had a reason to leave.
