Volunteer for RightRides DC on the Fourth of July!

AWESOME NEWS: You voted, and our next RightRides DC service date is Independence Day – July 4th! We’ll be providing free, safe rides home for women and LGBTQ and gender nonconforming people in DC after the fireworks have all ended between the early morning hours of 12:00am-3:30am the night of July 4th-morning of July 5th. The number one thing we need to make this service a huge success? YOU! We’re still in need of dispatchers, drivers and navigators.

Sign up now to volunteer as a RightRidesDC driver, dispatcher, navigator or outreach team member!

  • New volunteers must attend our training session on June 23, 2015 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm (@ Shaw Library) and must be available to volunteer from 11:30 pm to 4:00 am on July 4, 2015 (ok, technically that’s July 5…you know what we mean!).
  • We’re especially seeking volunteers who live in the SE or SW quadrants of DC.
  • All volunteers will be provided with a free Zipcar membership as well as free transportation home at the end of their volunteer shift!
  • Each car will have a driver and a navigator, so apply with a friend! In fact, you can hear it straight from our volunteers themselves – volunteering for RightRidesDC isn’t just important work, it’s also kind of a blast!

Be a part of something big. Sign up to volunteer now!

P.S. Don’t forget to save the RightRides DC number in your phone now! Call or text 202-556-4232 for a free, safe ride home from 12am-3:30am on July 4th. Tell your friends!
