Creepy Encounter in Friendship Heights: “He Followed Me & Watched Me Go Into My Building.”

Location: Willard Ave. and Friendship Blvd. (Friendship Heights)
Time: Night (7:30pm-12am)

This past summer I was sitting on the benches on the corner of Willard and Friendship Blvd. The benches run along side the Willoughby apartment complex and a small park. I was talking on my cell phone and a young man walked over and sat on the bench beside me. He walked oddly and seemed like something was mentally wrong with him, although he looked completely normal. As I was talking, he pulled out his phone and started talking.

I thought nothing of it at first. Then he started talking louder, not making conversation, but just saying words like yes, no etc. I saw him looking over at me and then he started talking even louder, and he said “I love you” and “I love you too” a couple of times as if he was speaking to a woman.

It was very loud and he kept looking over at me, so it made me very uncomfortable and I walked away. I went to go into my apartment building and I turned around and there he was, he had followed me and stood at the top of the driveway watching me go into the building.
