Today, we’d like for you to give back to CASS when thinking and the importance of our work to prevent public sexual harassment and assault in DC. Since we were founded nearly five years ago, we’ve worked hard to empower people in the DC metropolitan area to build a community free from public sexual harassment and assault. We’re asking you to donate to CASS today to help us to not just continue our work, but also to strengthen it. And we have great news — we’re participating in Case’s Giving Tuesday matching grant challenge. This means your #GivingTuesday donations will go twice as far!
If CASS is one of the first campaigns to recruit 20 individual donors, we will receive an additional $1,000 grant from Case. This amount of money pays for two free workshops to empower community members to become anti-harassment activists (check out this great write-up in the Washington Post of one of our recent workshops for an idea of what this means). It could mean a partnership with a local community group or business to offer a series of workshops for hundreds of clients, or it could print a whole lot of awesome anti-harassment wheatpastes and resource materials on street harassment for the public. What we’re trying to say is, THIS IS BIG!
Our goal is to raise $2,000 during Giving Tuesday, which will double to $4,000 thanks to the Case Foundation. You already know how much this can do for our small, volunteer-driven organization! Donate now to make a huge impact in our movement against public sexual harassment and assault!
