With 2013 underway, we want to look back to 2012 and celebrate all of our community’s accomplishments in trying to build a community free from public sexual harassment and assault. Please join us on the red carpet at Room & Board on March 28 at our fundraiser “Lights, Camera, (Collective) Action!”

      • Dancing! DJ vANNIEty Kills plays a monthly residency at The Brixton and rotating residencies at She.Rex at Chief Ike’s, Ottomania at Zeba Bar, and various guests gigs around town. Listen to her now and get pumped to dance!
      • Live band! Siné Qua Non, a Washington, D.C.-based quintet that blends American jazz & Spanish classical guitar, was named the 2012 Jazz Artist of the Year by Washington City Paper.
      • Food & drinks! Including cherry blossom brownies (all natural & gluten-free!) from the amazing DC-based bakery, Goldilocks Goodies.
      • Masseuses! Everyone needs some self care! Two professional masseuses will be giving mini massages throughout the event.
      • Photobooth! We’ll have a photo booth area set up with fun anti-street harassment activities.

Founded in 2009 as HollaBackDC!, Collective Action for Safe Spaces (CASS) is a grassroots organization that aims to empower the DC Metro area to build a community free from public sexual harassment and assault.In 2012, CASS worked with WMATA to implement the agency’s first-ever public awareness campaign to combat sexual harassment of customers while using the system.
