“It made me feel so angry and helpless.”

Location: Wilson Blvd. outside the Ballston Mall (VA)
Time: Daytime (9:30am-3:30pm)

I was walking down the street on the middle of a Saturday afternoon when a man, walking with another male, said loudly to me, “girl, let’s go make some babies.” I’m ashamed to say I was too stunned to say anything back. The comment wasn’t even that vulgar, but it made me feel so angry and helpless.

The comment WAS vulgar and your revulsion is understandable.

Try to forget the incident, and hopefully if it ever happens again, you’ll be more prepared to deal with it. Just know that there are men out there who would not hesitate to take a swing at a guy like that.
