Every morning when I go running…
I go running most mornings at 5:30am. A man and an apartment security guard are usually waiting for their bus at the end of my block and across the street. Even though I’m across the street, the man (not the security guard) frequently cat calls me despite the fact that I’ve never looked his way and have never responded to his calls. This has been going on for months, and it makes me uncomfortable that the man continues to call out at me despite my ignoring him and that the security guard ignores what’s happening in front of him. I don’t feel that I’m in danger, but I feel objectified.
