“At least say hi.”

posted in: Eastern Market | 6

The other day I was walking to get some lunch with my coworker. We were lost in conversations about work, graduate school applications, and plans for the weekend. Two older men walked by us and one said, “hey cutie”.  Neither one of said anything or even looked their direction. As they continued to pass us, we heard one man say, “you could at least say hi back.”

And the harassers could at least stop harassing women.

Anonymous, “hey cutie” to someone you don’t know doesn’t actually fall under the scope of “nice.” It falls under the definition “harassment,” which is why it’s here.

@ anon – interrupting someone’s conversation isn’t nice, it’s rude. we scold children when they do that, we should expect better of adults.
